Find your passion

Everyone in this world has some talent. It could be anything from being a mastermind to knowing how to grow crops. No one is talentless in true sense. Yet some people use their talent to shine and rise above all when others lag behind. Those people have found their passion and followed it. If you have a passion then you already know about its power. If you don’t have one, I’m sure you’ve been told plenty of times to find one. Passion drives you to try your best to make it work. Passion works as a fuel for all the sacrifices you make to achieve your goal. Without passion, it’s really tough to stay focused on your goal especially with all these extreme pressures of the race of being successful. If you do something you’re not passionate about, you can’t be successful. Even if you become successful, it will last for a very short period until you get frustrated and give up. Because when you are not passionate about something, you don’t feel happy and satisfied rather you feel trapped, which is the last thing anyone would ever want to feel. So you must have a passion. But the question is, how to find one if you have none? Well, there is no straight cut formula or path to find your passion. It’s not available in Google maps! But there are some steps which might help you to find your passion. All you have to do is be eager enough to find it.

How to find your passion:

  1. Close your eyes and take a deep breath. For a moment forget about your situation, your worries, your duties, forget everything that you are supposed to be taking care of.
  2. Now think back of your happy days. Perhaps your school years? Just think of a time when you didn’t feel pressurized about being someone in life.
  3. Think about the things you loved to do. Things that you were interested in. Things that made you happy. Things that you were good in doing. Perhaps you were good in drawing or cooking? There has to be something you loved and were good in. No matter how small you think of this work and how absolutely silly and impossible it may seem to you now, just give it a chance.
  4. Now try to find the reasons for you to love that work. And try to find out if you still feel the same because if you do, you’ve found your passion.
  5. If that doesn’t help, then try to find something that interests you. Something that you would love doing for the rest of your life.

Life is never easy and we have to deal with tons of things. Sometimes responsibility, sometimes circumstances take away the chance of pursuing our passions. But you have to remember that you only live once and you deserve to be happy in this short period. Whatever it is that’s standing between you and your passion, you can overcome it. In this competitive world where everything is judged by its price, it won’t be easy to find your passion and follow it. But you must be strong and fight for it. You just have to trust in yourself, and success will come running after you.

Peace Out 🙂

How to Get What You Want – Part 1

There is unlimited potential for those who are passionate and motivated.

Your life is created by your mind. Whatever you have in your life started off with a thought. Think about it. Your clothes, you bed, your education, your job, the house your in, the partner you’re with. All started with a thought.

What you think about is what you get. Your outer world reflects your inner world. Happy people know what they want and figure out how to get it. Unhappy people complain, worry and blame.

If you don’t know what you want, you can’t get there. You just go through life unconscious, on autopilot, going through the motions.

If you know what you want and are passionate about it. If your mind has something clear and tangible to focus on. You mind will start looking for and seeing how you can get what it is you want.

So what is it that you want?

Do you know what you want? Have you written your goals down? Do you focus on them and work towards them everyday? Most people don’t, and they can’t work out why they are unhappy. Firstly, they haven’t spent the time deciding what it is they want and secondly they don’t write it out. There are a few reasons why people don’t have goals, here they are below.

1. They haven’t been told about them. Do your family and friends talk about their values and their goals? Did your teachers at school tell you about them?

2. They don’t know how. They have never been taught what goals are, and hot to set specific goals. Goals that they want to achieve.

3. They hate goals. Goals have been forced upon them, they have been set for them by other people. They’ve been made to do things that other people want them to do.

4. They just wish and daydream. They don’t make clear, specific, well thought out goals.

5. They fear failure. They are scared to set goals incase they don’t teach them. Or incase they fail and it hurts them financially, or emotional. They’re too scared to want something in case they don’t get it.

6. They fear rejection. They fear other criticisms, judgements, they fear ridicule. People don’t like to see others do better than them. If your family are supportive that’s great. If not then don’t tell them about your goals. Unless you’re 100% sure the person you tell your goals to are going to be supportive and not criticize, then don’t tell them.

The first thing I want you to do now is take time out for yourself to sit down and write out what it is you want. In following posts I will go into more detail about how to write out specific goals that will change your life, in the meantime, get out a piece of paper, or write in your journal all the things you want. They don’t have to be in any particular order. Don’t censor them. They can be big or small. The point here is just to start.

Have a Mojo Day 🙂

“Everything you have experienced has served a purpose.”

“Everything you have ever experienced in your life has served a purpose: it has brought you here, to this exact point. Your struggles and your survival and your tragedies and your triumphs brought you here. Tho this night. To this moment.” Brendon Burchard.

As someone who has been studying Self development, Personal development and Self Help for nearly 20 years this quote helped me to focus on the positive things in my life.

I had been thinking about the struggles I had gone through and was getting upset as I remembered the pain and torment I had gone though over the years. I have been shocked at the nastiness of some people and the terrible things that have been said and done to me. I read this quote and I understood why I had to go through these experiences. I have always been an avid student of self development. I have studied rigorously, and read widely. I have always tried to understand myself more closely and learn how to improve my life.

Personal development is a passion of mine. I now read with fervour and enthusiasm like never before. I absorb and understand the concepts in what I study more easily and am able to apply them effectively. The more I learn the more I can help other people. The more training programs I can provide and the more people I can reach. My purpose is to help others get through the struggles and come out the other side a happier person with a more fulfilling life. A person who knows who they are and want they want. A person that can easily and effortlessly express their authentic self.

If it were not for my struggles and the triumphs, if it were not for the experiences I have gone through, both painful and pleasurable I would not be here now, reaching out to those who want to help themselves. I am grateful for all the people and all the experiences in my life and although I have not achieved a state where I am able to forgive certain malicious behaviour but I have learnt how to deal with it, how to move on and how to enjoy my life. My desire is to help others do the same. Without these experiences I would not be in a position of being able to help others. I would not have discovered my purpose in life and I would not be living my authentic life with passion.
